Help Us Complete the New Church!

At the Church of Saint Nicholas in Nikolaevsk, we believe that meaningful change begins with people like you. Every act of generosity—whether it’s a donation, your time, or your support—brings us one step closer to completing our new church and continuing our mission to serve our community with love and compassion.

You can make a donation in person at the church. We have designated boxes for both general church contributions and for the Sisterhood.

  • General Donations: Support the construction and ongoing operational costs of the church.

Online Donations

In the Summary step, there is an option—you can choose a default amount when making a donation. However, I personally recommend adding a few extra dollars per transaction. Banks typically charge a flat fee of $3–$4 per transfer, while credit card payments incur a surcharge of 3–5% per transaction.

Help Us Complete the Church of St. Nicholas in Nikolaevsk, Alaska

The Church of St. Nicholas is located in Nikolaevsk, Alaska, a Russian Old Believer community founded in 1969 by families seeking a place to freely practice their faith and preserve their traditions.

Since its founding, the church has served as a religious and cultural center—deeply rooted in the Old-Rite Orthodox tradition. It is a place where faith, community, and heritage come together.

As the community has grown over the decades, the original church building can no longer meet the needs of the parish. Construction of a new, larger church is already underway, and significant progress has been made. However, the project has currently stalled due to a lack of funding.

On behalf of the Russian Old Believer community and the parishioners of the Church of St. Nicholas, we humbly ask for your support. Any donation you can offer will go directly toward purchasing the materials needed to complete the building.

Your generosity will help preserve a way of life, a sacred tradition, and a place of worship for future generations.

Thank you for your support.
