Saint Nicholas 25'

The feast day of our patron saint, St. Nicholas, celebrated on December 19, was a joyful and blessed success for our community.
We were honored to welcome our guest of honor, who traveled all the way from Melbourne, Australia, to be with us in Alaska. While we had hoped that his wife would also be able to join him, circumstances did not permit this at the present time. God willing, we hope to welcome her on a future visit.
Initial informal invitations were shared through several chat groups, and approximately a month later an official invitation was sent to the Belokrinitskaya Metropolia. The Metropolia responded with its blessing, though it was ultimately unable to be represented at the celebration. Official invitations were also sent to Fr. Vasily. Although the formal invitation followed later, initial conversations and informal invitations had begun earlier in Romania and were, in due time, followed by open and official invitations.
Our community rejoiced in the presence of all who came to celebrate this bright and meaningful feast with us, uniting in the glorification of God and His saint, St. Nicholas. The Hierarchical Polyelion Service was deeply prayerful and uplifting, with particularly beautiful singing and readings. After the service, the sisterhood offered a festive meal filled with many delights. A group of parishioners also prepared and sang a song in honor of St. Nicholas, and many hymns—both liturgical and non-liturgical—were sung throughout the celebration.
Faithful traveled from as far as Oregon, Canada, and Louisiana, and it was a true blessing to see both familiar faces and new ones gathered together on this special day.
We are deeply grateful to all who came to celebrate with us, to those who traveled from far and wide, and for your continued prayers, patience, and support. Don't forget to donate.
